BESSIE PHILLIPS

PHILLIPS Bessie Lee Phillips, 92, known as the little lady with the bow in her hair , passed away on Saturday October 26, 2013. She was born in Ludwig Arkansas and has lived in Jacksonville for the past 22 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Rebecca Sparks, husband, Johnny, brother, Charlie Sparks, and sisters, Mary Edgmon, and Jackie Hicks. Survivors include her daughter, Myra Assaf (Ronald) of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Melissa Assaf; her good friend, Gladys Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 29, at 11am in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville. Interment will follow in Green lawn Cemetery, Jacksonville.
