Beth Jameson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 9, 2025.

Klara Beth Dobson Jameson was called home on July 19th, 2025, at the age of 90, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Beth was born in Mexia, Texas on April 3rd, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Boyd Jameson Sr.; her parents, Dr. Robert L. Dobson and Elva Love Dobson of Brownwood, Texas; her daughter Kimberly Beth Jameson; her sister, Martha Ann Appleby, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; her sister-in-law, Sondra Sue Parker of Canyon Lake, Texas; and her cousin Robert Phillip Love and his wife, Joyce Love of Fort Worth, Texas.

Beth is survived by her son, James Boyd Jameson, Jr. and his wife, Jody Stewart Jameson of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; four grandsons, James Bonham Jameson (and wife, Kate Jameson and their children, Emma Beth Jameson, Ava Sue Jameson and James Austin Jameson) William Barrett Jameson, Travis Barton Jameson (and wife, Kristina Jameson) and Samuel Burnet Jameson. She was also survived by her niece, Katherine Appleby Ranger (and husband Louis Ranger); her cousin, Mary Francis Lilly of Houston, Texas, former daughter in law, Deborah DeLoach Jameson, and numerous great nieces and friends all over the country.

As the child of a Baptist preacher, Beth was a devoted Southern Baptist her entire life. She will always be remembered for her patriotic love of America and especially, Texas. "Red, White and Blue" was in her DNA as well as her love of music. Her piano and marimba were her sanctuary when life's challenges seemed overwhelming.

Beth married her high school sweetheart in Plainview Texas, and after graduation from Baylor University, relocated to Houston, Texas where she raised her family. After several job transfers to Pennsylvania, New Orleans and Houma, Louisiana, the family relocated to Littleton Colorado in 1973. While in Littleton, she continued her passion for music and embarked on her career as a bridal consultant, floral designer and piano teacher. Her infectious smile and sense of humor brought joy to everybody she met.

After the tragic loss of her daughter Kimberly to childhood leukemia, she became a successful author of the book, "Hold Me Tight" which was published by Revel Publishing in 1980. This book provided spiritual comfort to hundreds of families navigating the loss of a child to cancer.

After the death of her husband, Beth returned to the Houston area to be close to her family and friends. She continued her love of music, playing the piano everyday through the fog of dementia and Alzheimer's.

She was loved by so many and will be missed by all. Her piano may have played its last note, but her heavenly music will play on for eternity in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Littleton Cemetery, in Littleton Colorado, on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any remembrances be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association at www. alz.org
