Suran (Rubinger) Beth Hope, 49, beloved wife of Larry, cherished mother of Lauren, Marissa and Ashlee, devoted daughter of Al and the late Dorothy Rubinger, dear sister of Bruce (Joan Schwartz) Rubinger and Carolyn (Daniel) Ansel. Beth graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Education with a minor in Spanish. She enjoyed studying the language, culture and music of the Spanish speaking countries. A resident of Miami since 1980, Beth was a lifetime member of Hadassah and a member of Congregation Bet Breira. Passionate about dancing, she was an accomplished ballroom and Latin dance competitor. She often performed at local dance showcases and won first and second place in national competitions as an amateur at the United States Ballroom Championships and the Grand Nationals. Beth was a giving and loving individual who will be terribly missed. Funeral services were held February 6, 2002, at Congregation Bet Breira. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Beth Suran Dance Scholarship Fund at Florida International University, c/o Lawrence Suran, 7660 SW 146th Street, Miami, Florida 33158.

Dear family of Beth. I pray for peace and to feel the joy of Beth's life always. Her soul is eternal and will always be with you. Beth was a wonderful friend and on the cheerleading squad with me at University High School. We had many fun times and great laughter with each other and friends. We had fun dancing at her parents home and great slumber parties at each other's families homes. Thank you so much Beth. Love, Teschon.
