Bettie J. Wilson

Bettie J. (Brooks) Wilson was born to the late Joseph Lee and Lucinda ( Lucey) on July 5, 1951 in Jackson, Tennessee. She attended Theodore Roosevelt High School and graduated with the class of 1969. Bettie accepted Christ at an early age and was Baptized again in 2016. She worked for U.S. Steele when she graduated from high school. Bettie also worked for Mid-America Mailers, Sears, Kohl's in Merrillville. She also was employed for the Libraries of Ivy Tech Gary, East Chicago and Iun's Library.

In the closing of Mid-America Mailers Bettie returned to school and received her Associate Degree in Business Administration from Ivy Tech and was inducted into Two Sororities Kappa Beta Delta, Beta Kappa Thea and a BA in Business from Indiana University N.W. Bettie is preceded by her parents, brothers Joe Edward, William Henry, Leonard T. (Smokey), Larry Dean, Curtis Eugene Brooks, and Neice Timica Hearne.

Bettie had no children, but she leaves to cherish her loving memories Her two Sisters: Emma Lou (Indianapolis) and Jacqueline Brooks (Merrillville) One brother: Rallin Anthony (Indianapolis) Sister-N-Law: Annette Brooks, Special Friends: Modiestine Mickens, Linda Holcomb and Linda Turner along with the whole group of my Kohl's friends that kept me grounded. Also my special Nephews Larry Brooks, Cedric Carter and Scott Anderson who always cared about my well-being and my special Niece Sylvia Brooks .
