DANCHUK, Betty It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, Betty Danchuk on Sunday, April 22, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79 years. She was predeceased by her infant son Blair; husband Harold Danchuk; parents Otto and Lena Schuler; sisters Muriel and Dorothy; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Betty will be lovingly remembered and missed dearly by her daughters Debbie (Ken) Grant, Rhonda (Kelly) Flaman, Anita (Mark) Nargang and Charlene Lewis (Bryan Melnyk); her dear friend Frank Seidlik; nine grandchildren Jason (Amanda Malley) Grant, Jeremy Grant, Trisha (Jeremy) Lazaro, Trent (Shandell) Flaman, Tara (Ken) Smith, Tyler Flaman, Dylan Nargang, Brayden Nargang and Riley Nargang; seven great-grandchildren Alexander, Angelise, Noah, McKenzie, Kambria, Neveiah and Sienna; brother Charles (Marge) Schuler; sisters Emma Middelkoop, Irene Phillips and Kathy (Bob) Keep; as well she will be lovingly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Betty worked for the Provincial Government, Social Services up until her retirement in 2001 where she made friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was very outgoing and lived a full and active life up until the last four months. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, curling, gardening, shopping with her daughters, volunteering for Special Olympic exercise classes, walking for Autism and working bingo where she cherished the friendships she made and will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew her. She was a very strong intelligent dedicated woman and faced all of life's challenges with courage and her great sense of humor. Betty was often quoted as saying "It's not my first rodeo". Even though Betty was very outgoing, she was a very private person. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to her family. Thank you for every single moment you gave us. We love you. We are honoring mom's wishes to have a private family service. There are simply no words to express our heartfelt thanks for the sympathies extended towards our family during this most difficult loss. We are deeply grateful.
