Betty J. Dorsey, 56 years old, of Mayville, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Agrace Hospice in Madison. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville at 7:00 p.m., with the Rev. Father Tom Biersack officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 7th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rochelle, IL. Betty was born on April 18, 1958 to Robert E. and Danie (Bennett) Todd. Betty was employed at Beatrice/Conagra Foods, the Mayville Piggly Wiggly in the bakery, and as a custodian for the Mayville School District. Betty was an avid animal lover, especially for shelter or abandoned pets. She was a great supporter of the Humane Society. Betty loved spending time in Door County, WI – it became her favorite vacation spot with her daughter Dawn and eventually her grandchildren once they were born. Betty loved being in the town of Mayville, surrounded by the beauty of the Horicon Marsh with her daughter Kristy and her grandson Tyler. Betty is survived by: her daughters- Angela Dawn (Paul) Cooney of Rochelle, IL and Kristy (Dan Sabel) Dorsey of Mayville; her sisters- Loraine Gee of SC, Janet (Carl) Smith of WV, & Jacqueline Downs of OH; her brother- James (Fran) Todd of WV; and 3 grandchildren- Bradley Cooney, Tyler Sabel, & Breanna Cooney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Jake Dorsey, and 2 brothers- Lonzo "Ike" Todd & George Lee Todd, also her four faithful feline friends- Muffy, Precious, Yoda and Grayson.
