Betty Foglesong Obituary
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4 , 2009 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel, Eudora, Kansas. Inurnment will be in Eudora Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday.
Betty Lou moved to Lawrence in 1988 and lived here until three years ago when she moved to Linwood, Kan.
Betty Lou was born June 28, 1951 in Dexter, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd Dean and Bethel Harper Whitecotton.
She worked as a receiving clerk at Wal-Mart for20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Lawrence.
Betty Lou married David Foglesong in Omaha, Neb. on Dec. 14, 1968. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Scott and wife Stephanie, Perry, Kan. and Steven and his wife Jenna, Olathe, Kan.; two sisters, Loy Dean Griffin and Carol Ann Hougham, both of Adel, Iowa; one brother, Alan Whitecotton, Stuart, Iowa; four grandchildren, Nate, Emily, Chris and Grant.
Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of the mortuary.
