Daniel L. Grimsley

66, of Canton passed away on Dec. 19, 2017. Daniel was born in Canton, Ohio on July 4, 1951 to the late Alfred and Catherine Grimsley. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, retired from the Timken Co., was vice president of the Canton South Little League Baseball Assoc. and assistant coach for many years. A great man with a heart of gold. His love never wavered and he will be greatly missed.

Greeted by God and his mother in Heaven. Preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Rick McConaha. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Grimsley; children, Dan (Marty) Grimsley II, Brenda K. Raye, Stephanie Grimsley, Anthony Fonte, Morgan (fiance David Bramer) and John D. Fonte; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Patty Gray, Joyce (Harold) McConaha, Nancy (Jim) Yates, Carol (Gene) Wilds, Jeanette Ickes, Diane (Dean) Carson, Bob (Laura) Grimsley, Steve (Terri) Grimsley and JR (Pat) Grimsley; his dog, Bell Bell; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday Dec. 22, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL with Pastor Steve Kimbrel officiating. Family and friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. A celebration of Dan's life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 23, 2017 at North Industry Christian Church 425 45th St. SW Canton, Ohio 44706.
