Betty G. Wilson

Wilson, Betty G. ALBANY Betty G. Wilson, 93, of South Swan Street, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 12, 2013 at her residence. Betty was born on March 31, 1920 in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of the late, George and Marie O'Brien Garrapay. Betty attended business college and was employed by the NYS Office of General Services as an executive assistant to the general counsel in Albany, retiring in 1990. Betty was a former communicant of St. Augustine's Church and a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She enjoyed bowling in the Senior League at the Palladium in Albany, enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, and particularly enjoyed square and line dancing. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Perry F. Wilson, who passed away in 1985. Survivors include her loving children, Joanne (the late Frederick) Esposito of Troy, Ellen Mangan of Ocean Grove, N.J. and Michael F. Wilson of Bradley Beach, N.J.; , her grandchildren, Frederick J. Esposito, Jr., John (Jamie) M. Esposito, Elissa (Bill) Esposito Freyer, Tara (Dan) Wilson Beams, Michael (Jennifer) P. Wilson; her great-grandchildren, John Frederick Esposito, Tess Elizabeth Beams, Finn Michael Wilson and Jake Ryan Freyer. On behalf of Betty's family, they would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Janice Houston-Little, Robaire Long, and the staff of the Community Hospice of Albany for their constant care and compassion shown to Betty. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, Lansingburgh. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held prior to the Mass on Tuesday, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 565 Fourth Avenue (corner of 115th Street & Fourth Avenue), Lansing burgh. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 or to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc.
