ORY Mrs. Bettye Ann Pell Ory, 66 of Pascagoula, MS passed away September 25, 2012. She was born January 26, 1946 to Peyton and Anna Pell. Mrs. Ory was a loving Christian daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed singing in the choir and spending time with her grandchildren. She has played piano and organ since the age of 12. She was a member of Arlington Heights Baptist Church. She was employed with Pascagoula School System - Jackson Elementary for 29 years. Mrs. Ory is preceded in death by her father, Peyton Pell; father and mother in law, Ernest Ory Sr. and Caroline (Susie) Ory; sister in law, Donna Pell; brothers in law, Ernest (Butch) Ory, Jr. and Gary McAndrew. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, James Ory; mother, Anna Pell; brother, Robert Pell; daughters, Melissa (Larry) Kennedy, Melinda (Scott) Eckert, Michelle (Steven) Ard and Amanda (Jesse) Luc; seven grandchildren, Jaycie Finch, Madeline Ard, Jordan Eckert, Morgandy Ard, Grayson Ard, Drake Luc and Anna Jae Luc; sisters in law, Carol McAndrew, Judy Schaefer and Kathy Ory; brother in law, Steve(Vicki) Ory; 11 nieces and nephews; Arlington Heights Baptist Church family and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Arlington Height Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Wilkinson and Rev. Ben Carlisle. Entombment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Pascagoula. Pallbearers will be Larry Kennedy, Scott Eckert, Steven Ard, Jesse Luc, Roy (Bud) Harmon, Jr. and Justin Harmon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Waters, Mike Strandberg, John Ory and Danny Schaefer. The family wishes to extend special thanks for the loving care given to Mrs. Ory by Sarah Tait of Home Instead and the nurses and aides from Hospice of Light. Melissa and Melinda, my heart goes out to you and your family. I have not seen you or your mom in years, but the one thing I do know, is that she is setting at the right hand of our savior. Though you morn her passing, keep in mind she is in good hands and will never hurt again. God bless you and your family. Cherish the time you had with her and look forward to spending eternity with her at the right hand of our father. Please stay in touch. I miss so many of you and the class of '86. Love you'all, be strong in the Lord. Call on a friend, any time.

Condolences on your loss. When I think of her, I picture her behind the piano @ Unity Baptist Church. Thank you for sharing her with us. We were blessed to have her play for our wedding 32 years ago.

So sorry to hear about Bettye. She and her family were fixtures at Unity Baptist Church in Bayou Cassotte when we were kids. Great family, great citizens and great neighbors. The Lord will comfort you all.
