(Medina/Albion) - Beulah E. Snell, age 85, of Ricky Place, died March 5, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. She was born February 15, 1923 in Albion, a daughter of the late Frank and Minnie (Salmon) Drake and had lived in this area all of her life.Mrs. Snell was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Middleport congregation. She worked at Arnold Gregory Hospital in Albion for 47 years, retiring in 1985. She loved animals especially horses, dogs and cats, and also enjoyed going out to eat with her friends.She was predeceased by her brothers, Roy Drake, Glenn Drake and Gordon Drake; her sisters, Velma Drake, Thelma Drake, Winifred Drake, Una Clack, Aletha Draper, Lorraine Youngs and Grace Foss. She is survived by her daughter, Velma (Eddie) Button of Knowlesville; grandchildren, Jamie (Tully) Tavelaris of Albion, Jacob (Casey) Button of Millville; great-grandchildren, Creed and Ahna Tavelaris, Haden and Julia Button and several nieces and nephews.There are no prior calling hours. Her Memorial Service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Ave., in Albion. She was a warm individual with a great laugh. It was very nice to have her as a neighbor and in our family's lives for many years! I'll remember her fondly and know that my life was made better by knowing her.
