Beverly Hazlett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2019.
Beverly was a kindred soul. She was our beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma, she was our "Grenia". She had a drive for knowledge, a thirst for living and shared that with anyone who knew her. She was a student of life with an open mind and heart. Her mediations, music, thirst for different religions are some of our most cherished conversations.

As an RN she explored different fields of nursing and choose to work as a geriatric nurse. She believed in dignity, sincerity and honoring each person she cared for.

In retirement, she volunteered to help elementary students learn English. She enjoyed working with the children.

Grenia is survived by her children Lou S. (Jim) Haynes, Roger W. French Jr. aka Skip, and Merianne S. (Fred) Steinback; grandchildren Jamie Haynes, Sandra Goans, Chris (Karla) Haynes, Todd Goans, David (Sophia) Goans, Colin (Becky) Haynes, Lauren (Jimmy) Abril, Sean (Emily) French; great grandchildren Steaven Bender, Anthony Goans, Daniel Goans, Zane Goans, Isabela Goans, Vinnie Goans, Colton Haynes, Lily Haynes, Amelia Haynes, Hunter Haynes, William Abril, Jensen Abril, Ellie French, Lucy French, Jersey Hibbs, Brody Hibbs and Bentley Hibbs; nieces and nephew Rhonda Devlin, Robbie Devlin, and Maggie Halverson; brother-in-law Bob Devlin.

Grenia is preceded in death by her parents George and Opal McLellan, husbands Roger W. French Sr. and Kenneth J. Hazlett and sister Emilie Devlin.

A celebration of life for Beverly, "Grenia" will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Sandalwood Manor, 3835 Harlan Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
