Beverly Hill Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 21, 2025.
Beverly Dean "Bev" Hill, 99, peacefully departed this life on July 17, 2025, in Jenks, Oklahoma.

Bev was born to Jessie "Alnoma" and Leonard Cruzan on October 23,1925 in Carterville, Missouri. It was in the third grade at Carterville Elementary School that Bev met her life-long love, R.W. "Bob" Hill, Jr. They married in 1944, raising three children in Carterville, then Neosho, Missouri, and eventually Claremore, Oklahoma.

Once their children were grown, Bev went back to school and became a skilled and dedicated nurse. She worked for many years at Claremore Regional Hospital. Bev enjoyed traveling with Bob throughout the US; they also square danced and drove in road rallies with their sports car club. Always ready to try new things, she once fermented her own wine (which exploded). Bev was a strong and independent spirit, and an artist who loved the beauty of nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one grandchild, James Hill.

Survivors include children Stephen (Wanda) Hill of St. Joseph, Missouri, Stan (Delinda) Hill of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Robyn (Frank) Porter of Iola, Kansas, grandchildren Heather (James) Stoneburner, Adam (Angelia) Hill, Christopher (Olivia) Porter, Dylan (Erin) Porter, Alexander (Lindsay) Porter, Lauren (Jordan) Hughes, thirteen great-grandchildren, and also her best friend Leta Shaw and family.

A memorial service will be held at Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home Webb City, Missouri on a date to be announced, with inurnment at Carterville Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, and as Bev was very much a cat person, the family requests donations to StreetCats, Inc. rescue and adoption facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
