Beverly Howard

Beverly Ann "Mimi" Howard (née Leis), 89, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Maitland, Florida.

Born on October 28, 1935, in Franklin, Ohio, Beverly later moved to Florida, where she attended Winter Haven High School. She was a devoted member of Winter Park Presbyterian Church in Winter Park, Florida.

Beverly's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children, Christy Oakes (Kristopher), Pamela Howard, and Jay Howard, Jr. (Ann); her grandchildren, Jason Atherton (Lauren), Justin Atherton (Teresa), and Rory Howard; and her great-grandchildren, Grayson Atherton, Kendall Atherton, and Rowan Atherton. She is also survived by her brother Den Leis, Sr. (Dolly). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay Howard, Sr.; her parents, Ray K. Leis, Sr., and Dorothy O. Leis; and her brother Ray K. "Bud" Leis, Jr.

Beverly found happiness in the simple pleasures of life-spending time with family, watching golf and football, reading a good book, and socializing with friends. Her warmth and love for those around her left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer; details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice of Maitland, FL or The Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation in Beverly's memory.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
