Beverly Huang Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 10, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Beverly Jean Huang (Rich), who departed this life on July 26, 2025, in Concord, NH, surrounded by love and peace.

Born on January 31, 1930, in Rochester, NY, to George and Margaret Rich, Beverly was the third of their four children. She was preceded in death by her two older brothers, George and Gordon, and a younger sister Margorie Rich Henry.

Beverly touched countless lives with her optimism, warmth, and unwavering spirit. Throughout her life, she directed her boundless energy toward many interests. Besides being a devoted homemaker to whom family was a source of eternal joy, Beverly was an avid tennis player, golfer, skier, swimmer and bowler. She enjoyed going on cruises, knitting and playing bridge, and some of her fondest memories were of connecting with grandchildren and hours of playing card games with her children, nieces and nephews. Beverly cherished the strong friendships she made over the years in the many places in which she lived.

At various points in her life, Beverly was active in Optimist International, Welcome Wagon, Newcomers Club and multiple volunteer activities helping those in need. In anything to which she turned her focus, Beverly was a steady presence in the lives of those around her, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years Jay, Beverly is survived by son Jay G (Amy), daughter Sherry (Bruce) Chakrin and son Todd (Coleen). She has 7 adult grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Beverly will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to express our profound appreciation to the staff of Granite Ledges of Concord and Granite VNA Hospice Services for their warm attention and compassionate care.

Per Beverly's request, only a private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Beverly's memory to a charity that makes the world a better place, as she did.
