Beverly Ann Johnson

Beverly Ann Johnson age 69 of Gary,In passed away December 19,2024. she was born to the late Herbert Smith Sr and Delois Smith on February 28, 1955 in Gary, IN. She received her education at Westside High School class of 1973 and joined the US Navy soon after. Beverly confessed to Christ at an early age.Beverly confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member of Western Christian Community Church for over 20 years where she was an active member of the choir.Beverly worked for the city of Gary Transportation as a city bus driver and later worked as a QMA before retirement due to a work related injury. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny Johnson and her niece Tiara Thomas. She leaves to cherish her children Erika (Dan) and Jason (Clarice), her 5 grandchildren: EriShawn (Tomar), Frank, Jada, Morgan and Kiren, 3 great-grandchildren Giavonni, Nehemiah, and Hezekiah, 4 siblings Herbert Jr. (Marilyn), Morris (Myra), Lisa (Roland), Leonard (Maria), special friend Patricia Sanders, special cousin Barbara Jean Joseph, and a host of extended family and friends. Goddaughters Giselle Washington and Tamara Hill.Golden Girls Rose, Debra and Brenda.
