BEVERLY LEWANDOWSKI Obituary
BEVERLY ANN "BEV" (URBAN)
Age 60, of Mt. Lebanon, suddenly on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eve Urban. Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, David M. Lewandowski; cherished mother of David M. (fiancée Allison Duval) Lewandowski and Michael J. Lewandowski; sister of Joseph T. (Alana) Urban and the late Thomas E. Urban; sister-in-law of Susan Lewandowski and her late husband, Gary Lewandowski; loving niece of Clarice Pizzuti and the late Olga Kostelnick and Ann M. Pizzuti; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins and her special furry friend, "Charles Moses." Beverly retired from Shadyside Hospital in 2009. She was active with the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devil Wrestling Club, Book Clubs, and LA Fitness. She served as a host parent for Marta, a World Vision Child. Bev enjoyed hosting and cooking for friends and family and was a deeply religious and devoted member of the church and believer of God. Beloved wife, mother and friend, Bev was adored by all who met her. A heart of gold, her warmth and genuine kindness were traits that made her so special. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2630 West Liberty Ave., Dormont (412-531-4000), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church. Interment in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army (donate.salvationarmyusa.org), Society of St. Vincent de Paul (svdppitt.org), Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarrior project.org) or the Passionist Nuns of Pittsburgh (passionistnunspgh.org). My deepest Sympathy to the Urban/Lewandowski families. I worked with Bev at Shadyside Hospital when I was a Cashier back in the late 70's early 80's until we moved off site. She was always pleasant and was a pleasure to work with. My prayers are with you and your entire family at this difficult time.

Bev lived her life filled with devotion to her family and friends, and to her faith, and also full of gratitude for the good things that had come her way. She was a true Christian, dedicated to helping anyone (including strangers) who needed it.

Dave, D & Miggy - What a blessing Bev was to all that were fortunate enough to know her. Dave, I remember you and Bev sitting outside on your back porch every morning sharing coffee and conversation with each other. The love and friendship you shared with each other was obvious and inspirational. Such a beautiful woman inside and out; she adored her "boys" and seemed happiest when doing for everyone. David and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Bev at Shadyside for 5 years. She was a wonderful coworker and friend. I am so sorry. She live across from me for years. I had not seen her since I was 15 and she moved. After all these years aboyt asking about her she stop in my Grams house. She look great. My Gram passed 3 weeks later in March 2014. I am so sad. She babysat me and I wanted to be just like her when I was growing up. I will not be able to attend because of my hip but you are all in my prayers, So sad,

We are so sorry for your loss. Bev was such an upbeat and spiritual woman. Loved how much she enjoyed entertaining and having fun - her Christmas in July parties, singing karaoke for her 50th birthday, that 70's party, starting our book club, her impromptu dinner parties and the list could go on and on. She loved how we oohed and aahed over her Christmas decorating - it was always fabulous! Bev was such a special person and will be truly missed.
