Mrs. Beverly A. Mason

Beverly A. Mason (nee Manley), 76 of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Monday, January 06, 2014 at Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake following a brief illness. Mrs. Mason was born March 13, 1937 in Moundsville, WV, came to Cleveland in 1955 and had lived in Sheffield Lake for 25 years. Beverly was a social worker with the Neighborhood Counseling Service on the near west side of Cleveland for many years, a job she found very rewarding. She was an avid golfer belonging to several leagues including couples leagues at Bob-O-Link and Aqua Marine. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and enjoyed flower gardening and raising and caring for house plants. Beverly is survived by daughter Regina Engle (Gary) of Seattle and Chalmer "Joe" Mason (Betty) of Vermilion, Daughter-in-Law Mary Lou of Sheffield Lake. Other survivors include 3 grandchildren Brian Mason and Stacey and Stephanie Engle, as well as sisters Kaye Carmichael of Zanesville and Donna Elson of Shady Side, OH. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Chalmer, parents William r. and Eileen (nee Cain) Manley and brothers Michael, Barry and Jerry. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Friday, January 10 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home Saturday at 10:00am with Mark Telepak, Chaplain, Crossroads Hospice will officiate, Interment will follow in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
