Beverly Wallace Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 23, 2025.
April 1, 1952 - July 20, 2025

Beverly Wallace, 73, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Greensboro, NC, in the loving care and home of her daughter and her daughter's wife.

She refused to show up as anything other than her most authentic and boisterous self. A self-proclaimed "jack-of-all-trades," Bev filled her days with creativity. She found joy in gardening, sewing, reading, writing, watercolor painting, and poetry. Her greatest passion-by far-was cooking. More than just preparing food, she loved feeding people. It was her love language, and she was exceptionally good at it-thanks to years of practice, experimentation, and a generous dash of natural talent.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Wallace Sr.; her mother, Lorene Tyree Silvester; her sister, Cathy Cash Dooley; her uncle, Wayne "Winkie" Landrum Sr.; her aunt, Charlotte Tyree Landrum; and her cousin, Ellie Landrum Waugh.

She is survived by her children: Charles Edward Wallace Jr. (Michelle) of Forest, VA; Theresa Dawn Rawz (S.B.) of Greensboro, NC; and Patrick Shawn Wallace of Floyd, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christian Hunter Wallace, Logan Grimsley (Amber), and Marie C.S. Ledbetter of Richmond, VA; and her great-granddaughter, Liliana Grimsley. Her surviving siblings include Steve Cash (Angie) of Roanoke, VA; Jeffery Cash (Michelle) of Lynchburg, VA; and Kimberly Cash of Clifton Forge, VA. Bev also leaves behind a host of other beloved family members and friends who brought her tremendous joy.

The family is deeply grateful to the hospice team from AuthoraCare Collective for the gentle and attentive care that brought comfort to Beverly and peace to those caring for her in her final days.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends and loved ones are invited to join the family for a time of remembrance on Saturday, July 26, between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. at the home of her son, Charles. Please contact the family for address details.
