Funeral for Bill Adkison, 84, of Garrison, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, at Garrison Funeral Home, Garrison, Texas, with Bro. Darrell Pollard, Bro. Todd Muckleroy and Bro. Gerald Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery, Garrison, Texas. Mr. Adkison died August 25, 2010, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born May 17, 1926, in Garrison, the son of Marvin and Dicey Hazen Adkison. He was affiliated with Arlam Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Adkison of Garrison, Texas; daughters, Gayle Adkison of Garrison, Texas, Judy Stokes and husband, Jessie, of Garrison, Texas and Janie Muckleroy and husband, George, of Timpson, Texas; sons, Buddy Adkison and wife, Judy, of Timpson, Texas, Cotton Adkison and wife, Diane, of Garrison, Texas, and Ron Adkison and wife, Tamra, of Henderson, Texas; sister, Florence Lee Williams of Garrison, Texas; grandchildren, Wade and wife, Jana, Todd and wife, Wanda, Angie and husband, Mark, Georgette and husband, Chris, Kandi and husband, Shannon, Kristi Hancock, Corey and wife, Michell, Jessica and husband, Tommy, Kyle and wife, Amie, Veronica and husband, Brett, Hannah, Jordan, Alex, Kayla, Cason, Hazen and Arrington; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Maci, Madison, Cole, Chandler, Josh, Brylie, Kate, Julianne, Sawyer, Gus, Phoebe Kate, Tristan, Race, Sammy, Lawson, Remington, Regan and Alissa; great-great-grandchild, Regan; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ozell Adkison; and one granddaughter.
