Bill D. Barton, age 76 of Brookfield, died Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Clifton Hill. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Rhodes Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Petska Cancer fund and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, Missouri 64628. On-line condolences forwarded to www.rhodesfh.com Bill Dean, son of Jess and Lela Underwood Barton was born on October 10, 1936 at Arnett, Oklahoma. On July 13, 2013 he was married to Arlyce Hardy at Mac's Cove in Clifton Hill. He was owner of B & B Welding; was a member of the Brookfield Masonic Lodge, #86 AF & AM; First Baptist Church of Arnett, and former member of the Brookfield Elks and Brookfield Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Arlyce of the home; two sons, Don Barton and wife Patty, Dayton, TX, Billy Barton and wife Erin, Brookfield; one daughter, Cheryl Chaffee and husband Mitch, Brookfield; four step-sons, Rick Barton and wife Kathy, Jefferson City, Randy Barton and wife Gail, Belton, Jessie Barton, Platte City, Robert Meeks and wife Caren, Brookfield; one step-daughter, Stephanie Rye and husband Gary, Brookfield; Papa's sugar boogers and partners, Alyssa Barton, Billy Barton III and wife Jennifer, Breanne Barton, Autumn Barton, Evanne Barton, Michel Chaffee, Christine and husband Kris Kennedy, and Cooper Chaffee, all of Brookfield; six step-grandchildren, Mathew and Ian Barton, Jefferson City, Kelly Barton, Warrensburg, Joe Barton, Florida, Jeremy Barton, Platte City, Katilynn and Austin Meeks, Laclede, and Dustin and Kylee Rye, Brookfield; three great-grandsons, Hunter Sanders, Landon and Connon Kennedy, Brookfield; one great-granddaughter, Sayge Fields, Brookfield; three sisters from Oklahoma. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
