William "Bill" Chernekoff

August 9, 1949 - October 28, 2024

William "Bill" Chernekoff, 75, passed away peacefully on October 28 in Jupiter, Florida. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Barbara and Irv Chernekoff, he was raised in Claymont, Delaware, and graduated from Claymont High School. He continued his education at the University of Delaware before making his home in Lake Worth, and later, Jupiter, Florida.

Bill's career centered on real estate and insurance, but it was his home life that mattered most. He shared a wonderful life with his beloved wife, Carleton, who sadly passed away in May of this year. He is survived by their son, Ryan Chernekoff (Tara), and was a proud and devoted "Gramps" to his grandchildren: Ryder and Brock Chernekoff, as well as Emma and Tanner Pinkerton. Bill and Carleton enjoyed traveling extensively in their earlier years, and in later life, he treasured every moment spent by the pool with his grandchildren, being playful and "sneaking" them lots of treats.

Known for his easygoing demeanor, quick wit, and engaging storytelling, Bill brought joy to his family in Florida, who lovingly cared for him during his battle with cancer. He is also survived by his four siblings: Art Chernekoff (Andi) of Wilmington, DE; Jill Chernekoff of Bala Cynwyd, PA; Joel Chernekoff of Lake Worth, FL; and Steven Chernekoff of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He will be deeply missed.
