Bill Hall Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 16, 2025.
Bill Hall, 74, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2025. Born on May 16th, 1950, Bill lived an inspiring and selfless life, leaving a deep and lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Bill was a Kentucky boy, through and through. His hometown of Louisville meant a lot to him, in ways where only a city or a neighborhood is able to paint a more full picture of a person. His genuine love for his neighbors, his friends, and his family, many of whom resided in Louisville or shared significant moments there, defined a man who rarely asked much from others.

He loved basketball. And his garden. Perhaps even a Snickers bar or two. He also loved retelling stories or silly jokes. He knew his audience had heard many of them before. Yet the punchline was never the point. It was always about the shared smile at the end.

More than anything, Bill loved his family. Everyone does, but not like him. They lifted his every step. They gave purpose to every challenge. He never asked for much, and only ever truly cared about how his family was doing. He was so very proud of us. May we all never stop thinking about how proud we will always be of the one, and only, Bill Hall.

Bill is survived by his adoring wife Donna, his daughters Whitney & Lindsay, his sons Ryan & Adam, his grandchildren Blake, Cole, Lilly, Hudson & Brooks and his loving cat Gabby.

His family will be celebrating Bill's life on April 19th from 2-5 p.m. at the TwayHouse in Plainview.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Louisville Veterans Affairs or the Cabbage Patch Settlement House. Both organizations had a profound impact on Bill's life and would be a meaningful way to honor his memory.

Donna,
I'm in shock, I just can't believe he's gone. Who going to make the chalk paintings. I will miss them the most. If every a person deserved a man like Bill, you did. A match made in heaven. Donna in this hour of need, remember the good times you had with Bill. I didn't know his personally, but through you I got to know him a little. When people that I know loose someone in their life, a tear come down my face for the ones left behind. I'm truly sorry for your loss. I know everyone says this, but I mean it. If there is anything you need or want, ask me. All I want to do is wrap my arms around you and hug you very hard. I know I can't take the pain away, no one can do that. But I will be thinking about you and hoping you'll be ok in time. Love you very much.

Your friend always Jim.
