Bill McLeod Obituary
February 7, 1947 - August 1, 2011
On August 1, 2011, Billy took his last trip to the penalty box, succumbing to a massive heart attack at his home in Leduc.
Bill is survived by his cherished girlfriend Carol Schell (Weiss) of London, Ontario, Don (Linda), Terry, Val, Rod (Terry) (Travis) and Scott (Shelley) along with nephews Jason and Skye, nieces Lori, Salena, Samantha and stepdaughter Kristine Pederson. Bill was predeceased by his parents Marie and Jack and the light of his life, stepson Cole Pederson.
The McLeods invite you to join them in a Celebration of Billys interesting Life on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alexandra Arena (50 Street and 47 Avenue, Leduc). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stollery Childrens Hospital Foundation, 1502 College Plaza, 8215 - 112 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 9Z9.

Dear Family of Billy McLeod,

We all have fond memories of Billy: from the classy hockey player he was to the painter who always did a great job!
Dad (Bill Boyko) remembers Bill like it was yesterday: from when he coached Billy to refereeing those colorful hockey games that Billy played! We will all miss his smile and his stories!

I share your sadness on the loss of a wonderful guy. And thank you for choosing the Alex Arena as the site for the service. For a guy who played in a vast array of pro hockey leagues around the world, including South Africa (who knew?), it's a place that Billy would have selected. Too bad it's summer and we can't wear our skates.
