Bill Morgan

Bill Morgan, 55, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born on May 8, 1969, in Bay Shore, New York, Bill dedicated much of his life to service and community. For over a decade, he was a committed board member of the Jefferson Alcoholic Foundation, Inc. (JAFI), where he played an instrumental role in guiding the organization through significant changes. His dedication extended beyond leadership-he spent countless hours working on JAFI's building from the floor to the roof and was deeply involved in its transition to a new location in 2024.

Bill had an unwavering commitment to helping others. He supported many individuals seeking recovery through 12-step programs and never asked for anything in return. Whether offering his home to those in need, loaning his vehicles to friends, or using his skills to build and repair items for those he cared about, Bill gave selflessly. He was always available for a long conversation or a quick joke, embodying the true spirit of friendship and generosity.

A man of many talents, Bill was known for crafting beautiful furnishings with skill and artistry. He was also an award-winning billiards player with the Straight Shooters and a remarkable chess player. His passion for these pursuits reflected his sharp mind and competitive spirit.

Bill is survived by his siblings Patricia Galang, Robert Marangio, Corey Lynn Wilder, Amy Wilkins Seiber, and Heather Wilkins.

A memorial gathering will be held on February 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at JAFI, located at 3513 7th Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama, 35222. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jefferson Alcoholic Foundation, Inc., honoring Bill's lifelong dedication to helping others.

Bill's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the community he helped build.
