Billie Jean Staples died February 17, 2022, at the family farm that she loved. Billie was born August 17, 1933, in Tulsa, OK to William T and Edna A Bailey. She married H.L. Staples on July 7, 1956. In 1971, Billie and H.L. bought a farm near McLoud, OK and moved their three city boys to the country. There, they operated Staples Dairy until 1987, and for the next 22 years, they operated Staples Redbud Vegetable Farm, retiring in 2009. Billie and HL were married for 58 years. She was predeceased by her parents, her four siblings, and her husband.
Billie was a hard worker, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and friend to many. Throughout her life she walked with God and daily read his word. She knew her time was coming to an end. Billie told her family that she loved them, she had lived a blessed life, knew where she was going, and was at peace.
Billie is survived by her three sons, Leo Staples and his wife Julie of the home, Brian Staples and his wife Cynthia of Tulsa Oklahoma, and David Staples and his wife Janey of Newalla Oklahoma, grandchildren Amanda and husband Drew Cole, Andrea Sandmann and husband Travis, Jonathan Staples and his fiancée Jessica Campuzano, and great grandchildren, Emma Duhig, Grace Duhig, Henry Sandmann, and Oliver Cole.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Shawnee Salvation Army Food Pantry.

Billie was always so kind to me! I particularly remember that whenever I met her, she was always asking about my life, and conversing with me as if she enjoyed hearing about the boring stuff I was doing. I will always remember the time she and HL bought me dinner right after Roger died. She is was one of those people with whom you could share your faith and she would share hers. May the angels lead her into Paradise!
