Billy Sherrill age 80 of Evensville, Tennessee died on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland, Tennessee.
He was born on October 17, 1942 in Milo, Tennessee. Billy served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for TVA at Watts Bar and Sequoyah for 23 years before his retirement. Billy also enjoyed farming. He was of the Baptist faith.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents James N. and Clara McDaniel Sherrill, children Beverly Miller and Clint Miller, sister Eunice Swafford, and wife Wanda Charlene Sherrill.
Survivors include his children Carolyn Hensley of Dayton, Tennessee, Betty (Mark) Darr of Dayton, Jennifer (Ricky) Trusley of Athens, Tennessee, Randy (Leigha) Miller of Dayton, and Kathy (Danny) Creason of Dayton; brother James Sherrill of Pikeville, Tennessee; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. before the service at Vaughn Funeral Home.
