We are sad that Birdie has died.
We will miss her nonchalance, her irreverence, her wry sense of humour, her Bohemian elegance with a penchant to black.
We shared a number of lively dinners at some of the better restaurants or with other friends or at our place.
Birdie was truly one-of-a-kind.

Aunt Birdie & Uncle Max traveled from Montreal to Pittsburgh with all of the children to attend our wedding in 1969. That was the first time I met Aunt Birdie and I don't think she missed a family event since. She was beautiful, elegant, funny and unique. Our deepest sympathy to all the family. Love, Hope and Larry

We're so sorry to hear about Aunt Birdie's passing. She never missed a special occasion, and she happily travelled to Halifax for my engagement party and to Toronto for my wedding. She was quite a lady, and we'll miss her.

Trying to find the right words is difficult when it comes to saying how sorry I am to hear that Birdie has died. Not only did she have an interesting and entertaining personality, she had the most wonderful sense of humour, an indelible sense of style, and a reckless panache that was her signature of elegance and grace. She was the best friend anyone could ever wish to have.
Birdie played an important part in my life and I am grateful to have had her for a friend.
To Elizabeth, Ted, and the bereaved family, I offer my sympathy and my support. I am so very sorry for your loss.
