I have been gone for over a year. I was viewing the services online because of my work schedule. I began to wonder where the bishop was. I started to scroll through the services and I saw the service for the Homecoming for the bishop. I instantly commenced to cry. He was such a awesome teacher. My prayers are with his family . He will definitely be missed. God has gained another angel.

I have been going to this Church for 2 years and the past couple months stopped going due to some family issues. I normally go on Wednesday nights because I work on Sunday and I just returned a few weeks ago and was wondering where bishop was at every Wednesday night. I just found out he died tonight and my heart instantly shattered and I began to cry when I heard the news and I am in a state of shock. Bishop Gibert was an AWESOME MAN OF THE MOST HIGH and I truly loved him as my pastor. He has taught me so much and helped me get over one of the biggest obstacles I was facing in my life last year. I know he is in a better place and I pray for strength and healing for his family! You will always be loved and missed dearly Bishop and I thank you for everything you have done for me and the thousands of lives you helped and touched. RIHeaven:)

Greetings in the Lord,

I was saddened by the news of Bishop Ben and my heart goes out to the family. My wife and I were in transition regarding which church the Lord wanted us to attend here in Dallas/Fort Worth when we began listening/watching DWO services online. Bishop Ben's messages from the Lord helped us get through this period . I can even remember crying during some of the services because the Word of God was going deep inside of me. We watched DWO for about 2 years (started right before he was ordained as Bishop) and it was truly an honor.

Warmest Regards,

Darwyn T. Walker

When I became pregnant with my first child (single mother), the only thing that I was sad about moving from Detroit to Houston was that I was leaving Detroit World Outreach. Pastor Ben and my DWOite family were blessings to me. I had never experienced a church that felt like how Heaven would possibly be (multicultural, lots of love, allowing the Spirit to flow in service). I admired Pastor Ben's obedience to the Holy Spirit and the way he taught his messages. I always learned. Even to this day, 6 years later, I still remember the message about sharpening your sickle. Among other things like me being apart of the 1st service of the East location and I had just joined the choir at the Redford location...things were great. But becoming pregnant out of wedlock and not having the support of my child's father and me being "high risk" and with my own family living in Houston, I had to leave. But I NEVER forgot about DWO. So hearing this news had me (and still has me) emotional. I can't believe he's gone. But we shall see him in Heaven one day. God bless and comfort all whose were touched by Bishop Ben. We love you!

When I started going to DWO over 10 years ago it was to bring my husband back to a church that he use to attend. Not know that this church would change my life. Bishop Gibert has taught me so much and has guided me in my renewal process of my life. My children loved going there and even though I never joined I just recently said the I would join I even joined the choir, which was derailed because of my class on rehearsal night. Bishop was and will forever be a great man, teacher, spiritual advisor and so much more. To the Gibert family you have my deepest condolences. Thank you Bishop for everything. I don't know what im going to do without hearing the word through your teachings.

He was an honorable Bishop, Pastor, and all around man of God. He was truly the best teacher go the word in our region and you could always " follow him as he followed Christ". He will be missed. May God bind up the broken hearts of the Gibert family. The prayers of our family are with them.

I attended DWO East quite a bit when we were too late to drive to our church home. I enjoyed the messages delivered by Bishop Gibert. His messages inspired, challenged, and encouraged my family and I. It's shocking that Bishop is no longer here. We will miss him. May the good Lord comfort and love on Dr. Charisse, their children, members, and other family members. #RIHBISHOPGIBERT!

My spiritual dad has given me the courage and boldness to speak the word without conviction. He walked and talked the word and poured it out to his people. My marriage has been taken to a new level because he invested in me and my husband. He knew our marriage could be saved and I love him for that. I know we will see our dad again in heaven. Rest good and faithful son of God. Love the Peacocks

Mere words will never be able to express what Bishop Ben Gibert's Ministry and dynamic preaching/teaching meant to us here at HWFC in Norfolk Virginia. I always looked forward for his visit to the church ever since I came from the Virgin Islands two and a half years ago. I was so much encouraged by his inspiring messages. This was such a shock when I heard the sad news. He was indeed a true man of God, who has touched the lives of thousands, including mine. He will greatly be missed. To his Beloved wife, children and entire family, including DWO, on behalf of my family, please accept our deepest condolences. May God strengthen you through this ordeal. Just know that God is holding you up, for "Underneath are the Everlasting Arms," according to his Words. Hold on and never give up. Remember all that Bishop has taught you. You will see him again, at the Pearly White Gates of Heaven. Our hearts are with you. We love you, and are praying for you- Always -Donna L. Jones- Athill.

The first time, I attended Detroit World Outreach was in the Spring of 2013 on the Eastside of Detroit Michigan. I kept hearing good news about Bishop Gibert and his wife Dr. Cherise Gibert.
I said to myself who are these people,I never met them. Then one Sunday, they both came to the Eastside at Detroit World Outreach and I said Oh! that's Bishop Gibert and his wife Dr. Cherise Gibert what a good looking couple.
I was going alone to DWO by myself and then I started bringing my four grandchildren to service. I heard great news about the Redford's DWO, but I had never attended because at that time I was living on the east side of Detroit.
Then later on, I moved on the Westside and I began attending Redford's DWO. My grandchildren and I were baptized there last July of 2016 and we became members of DWO.
Bishop Benjamin Gibert has taught me how to read and understand my Bible, get closer to Jesus ,speak to the Holy Spirit in tongue, stay away from negativity and I can go on and on. I can say that I truly love this man of God and he will be missed dearly in my family.
I know that he is in a better place with his creator i.e, GOD and his son Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior. For he has done all that he can do here on Earth, now he is in heaven for God loves the most.
His soul will shine throughout heaven and he will be adord by all of the Angels. Who is going to fill his shoes here on Earth because there's no other like Bishop Benjamin Gibert. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Sincerely,
Gloria Mancill.
