Karen: I recently found out about Dr. Passey and was very sorry to read about it. I hope you remember me from Redwood Family Practice (FHP ) where I worked and still work for the last 20 years. I can't tell you what fond memories I have of him and what a wonderful Dr. he was. I hope you will always know how special he was to us "older" employees and I assure you he will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with you. Gloria Neuman

I was so saddened to hear of Blaine's passing. I shall miss him so very much, and send my sympathy to Karen, and to my cousins. Blaine was one-of-a-kind, so intelligent and interested in so many subjects, who kept his mind alert with his studies through books and on the computer. I shall miss him so much. How appropriate it is that he and his younger brother, Lloyd, should meet on the other side of the veil, so close together. Indeed, I can imagine that great Passey family gathering to welcome each one as he entered the next part of existence. We all shall miss them, but look forward to another reunion in due time.

we send our love and sympathy to Uncle Blaine's family. I have many fun memories of all the Passey brothers at our Grandma Passey's house in Paris. I am sure she is so excited to have all of her children with her now. I also remember the fun times I had when we stayed with Uncle Blaine at their home in Salt Lake. Surely wish we would have known about his death sooner so we could have attended the service. Love and Best Wishes to all of your family.

I was so sorry to hear that Dr. Passey had passed away. He delivered nine of our ten children and cared for all of us for so many years. He even came to see me in the U of U hospital when I had my brain surgery. It was such a comfort to have him near. We send our love and sympathy to you, Karen and to all your family. Our prayers and condolences are with Karen and Dr. Passey's family. I always looked on him as a friend and a great doctor. He helped us through many a crises. We named our youngest son Sam, after my grandfather but as he had called all the boys he delivered Sam he was very happy with our choice of a name. What a great sense of humor.

I was saddened to read of the passing of Dr. Passey. At the same time, I'm filled with the joy of having worked with him for several years in his office. One day he told me a particularly funny story after having to impart sad news to a patient. When I questioned him he said simply. "There are many times I have to decide how to stop the tears that tear me apart. The only way I have come up with is laughter." He taught me much and I am grateful to have known him. I'm so sorry for your loss. You must all be special people to have been his family. You will go on with the laughter and joy he was part of.

Dr Passey was the greatest. He saved our daughter, who had complications and stayed at the hospital with her most of the night, even though it was new years eve. We had many medical problems and he was always there; with his great sense of humor. We've talked about him and Karen alot through our marriage, thinking what great people they were.

There have been many times since Dr. Passey left Rexburg that we have wished we could consult with him. He pulled our family through some pretty scary times, and we respect and appreciate the extra mile he always went , without hesitation, to see that we received the best of care. His skill and humor were unparalleled. Heaven is a better place with him "in attendance".
Our sincere condolences to his family.

"We always appreciated Dr. Passey as our family doctor, neighbor, and friend. He always had time for any questions or concerns. I remember times when he came over for a 'house call' to check on a sick family member. Dr. Passey really knew how to practice medicine...compassion and skill and always added humor. Each of our family members has a special place in their heart for Doc. Passey." Kathleen Peterson and Family (Rexburg, ID)

Dr. Passey was always one of my favorites. He was the real deal, mixing knowledge and humor so masterfully that you often found yourself laughing at his comment and then realizing...hey the jokes about me. He will be missed.

It is with sadness that I heard that of Dr. Passey's passing. Not only did he provide medical care for the Hill family as we grew up, but he delivered me as a baby and also my first child some twenty-three years later. An interesting note, My daughter was born on Dr. Passey's day off, but he not only came in to take care of my wife and daughter, he also delivered five other babies that same day before his wife came in and pulled him out of the hospital. Our best wishes to the Passey Family.
