"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

I have skidded into Home shoutin' "Yahoo"! Don't shed any tears for me. It's been a great ride around the Sun for these 91 years. I smelled every rose; enjoyed every adventure; left no stone unturned; I have no regrets.

I am happily reuniting on the Other Side with my Mother and Father, Clark and Florence Taylor of Ogden, UT; my Brother, Robert Taylor of Salt Lake City; my Brother, Judge Stanton Taylor and his wife, Shirley, of Ogden, UT; my Father and Mother-in-Law, Nefus and Maxie Newman of Magnolia, MS, my Brother-in-Law, Major Newman of Tuscaloosa, AL, and too many friends to name.

I am sadly leaving behind the love of my life, Sylvia; my wife, my lover, my best friend, and my partner in life for 27 years; my five children: Terrie McEvoy (Richard) of Anchorage, AK; Dana Clementson (Wayne) of Kennewick, WA; Brett Taylor (Jessica) of Park City, UT, Kami Taylor of Salt Lake City, UT; Tiffani Baumann (Kyle) of Coronado, CA; my sweet sister, Sue Butcher (Dale) of Ogden, UT, my sister-in-law, Jacque Taylor of Salt Lake City, as well as eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

I donated my body to the University of Utah Body Donor Program for organ donation and medical research. Instead of a service, please have a drink with friends and family, tell each other some lies, and raise a glass to me, and if you feel so inclined, make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.

I say in "passing", "Happy trails to you until we meet again. . .Keep smiling until then."
