Blossom Krawcheck Mt. Pleasant - Blossom Krawcheck, 93, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on October 21, 2018, surrounded by family. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held on Tuesday, October 23, at the Beth Elohim Cemetery on Huguenin Ave. Mrs. Krawcheck was born June 12, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Max Edward Friedman and Ethel Goldman Friedman. She attended University of Wisconsin where she met Saul Krawcheck, her husband of 67 years. Having grown up in Chicago, moving to Charleston was an adjustment, but one she tackled head on. Since Jack Krawcheck Clothiers for Men was a long time tradition, she decided to try her hand at Women's Clothing and was very successful for decades as Jack Krawcheck for Women, hence the page in the Post and Courier years ago with her photo and the caption, "King Street is Blossoming." That business branched out to encompass a bridal salon and event planning business. She believed that women are as valuable as men in every way and was proud of living the example. While running her retail business, she managed to become a television personality by reading children's stories on her show, "The Magic Garden." She then moved on to cohost the daytime talk show, "Lowcountry Live" with Carroll Godwin which opened doors to some exciting interviews. She is past President of the Charleston Chapter of Hadassah and one of the first presidents of the Women's Rotary Club of Charleston. Her family will always remember her many accomplishments and quick wit. She once said that if she could sing, she'd be the best singer that ever was! Her parting words to one of her granddaughters was, "Please spritz me with some Chanel No 5." For those who know and love her, that says it all. Mrs Krawcheck is survived by her two daughters: Marcy Krawcheck of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Mackie Krawcheck Moore (Charlie) of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, Larry Krawcheck of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren: John Rosen, Caroline Porter, Elizabeth Porter, Genevieve Porter, Sophie Mauerhan and Chase Mauerhan. She was predeceased in death by her loving husband, Saul Krawcheck; brother, Dr. Myles Friedman (Betty); daughter, Beth Krawcheck Rosen; and grandson, Joshua Rosen. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 67 years, Saul Krawcheck; and her second husband, Dr. Charles Griffin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Thrive SC, to support survivors of domestic Violence at www.thrivesaveslives.org. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel. It seems like 100 years ago when Blossom asked me to model for her. Then I went to work for her and despite the fact that I was the worst employee she probably ever had, she always took the time to sit me down for a chat when she was in the store, and Blossom, well being Blossom, figured out pretty quickly that I was much better at running down the street to get egg salad sandwiches for lunch than selling clothes! She was very good at finding a redeeming quality in everyone, and therefore everyone felt special in her presence, and that was her magic, I think. Lot's of Love to Marcie and Mackie, Love Gay

It was a great privilege and joy to have known Blossom! Not only was she my Mother's BFF at The Palms, but I truly loved sitting around the dining room table and talking with her, and together with my Mother playing bridge on many occasions! These memories I will always cherish! Sincere sympathies to Mackie, Marcie and family!
