CARTHAGE - Funeral services for Bobby Lynn "Bob" Allums, 72, of Henderson will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Wilson Wallace and Tony Singleton officiating. Burial will be in Waldrop Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. Allums died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Tyler. He was born Nov. 8, 1936, in Panola County to Claude Lee and Elsie Irene Sparks Allums. Mr. Allums graduated from University of Texas with a bachelor of business/accounting degree. He worked as an accountant with Texas Utilities. Survivors include his wife, Ramona Allums of Henderson; son, Mark Allums of Henderson; daughter, Rebecca Holeman of Carthage; several grandchildren and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Gary Monic, Jerry Harris, Red Pruitt, Joe Dotson, Tom Dahna and Tony Singleton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Hawthorn Funeral Home
