Bobby Joe "Mr. C" Counts Callands, Va. Bobby Joe "Mr. C.", Counts, 71, of 485 Wyatt Farm Road, died Wednes day, Nov. 4, 2009, in Danville Regional Medical Center. Born March 21, 1938, in Washington County, Va., he was the son of the late Delly Mae Chatlan Counts and the late Luther N. Counts. He attended Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed singing, especially country, bluegrass and gospel music. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was married to Vivian Lewis Counts of the residence. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Bobbie J. Counts Snow and husband Robert of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Steve Counts and wife Deana of Danville; his twin sister, Bonnie Counts Vipperman of Danville; and one granddaughter, Amber Dawn Counts. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, Dry Fork, Va., with the Rev. Mike Hearp officiating. Interment will follow in the Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Dan River Post 1097. The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services Chapel, 3995 Franklin Tpke, Danville, and at other times at the residence, 485 Wyatt Farm Road, Callands, VA.
