Bobby Fortune Obituary
March 17, 1932 - June 14, 2013
Anderson - Bobby E. Fortune, age 81, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Richard Fortune and Myrtis Evans Fortune. He retired as a salesman after many years. Bobby was of the Apostolic Faith.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Jo Ann Hanks Fortune; Bobby was a loving father to his daughters, Diane Allen and her husband James and Toni Fortune; also surviving is his granddaughter, Tonia Taylor and her husband David, and great-granddaughter, Anna-Claire Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Talmadge Fortune and Thomas Connally.
The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Harrell and Reverend Jerry Nation officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of his granddaughter, Tonia, 104 Graylyn Court, Anderson, SC 29621 and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
