Bobby Hamrick

Bobby Ray Hamrick, Sr. was born September 28, 1935 in Lawley, Alabama the son of Ira Hamrick and Hazel (Shoults) Hamrick and had lived in Valliant since 1970. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by sons, Terry DeWayne Hamrick, and Tommy Dagenhart; a sister, Linda, and a brother, Leo. Bobby worked in the paper mill industry for over 40 years and was part of the original start up crew at the Weyerhaeuser Valliant paper mill retiring as superintendent on #3 paper machine. In 1996, he was chosen as an honorary member of Kouch Pitt University for papermakers. He enjoyed golfing and riding around in the hills. Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church, Valliant. He and his wife, Bobbie were married on September 30, 1994 in DeQueen, Arkansas. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: his wife, Bobbie Sue Hamrick; grandson, Bobby Ray Hamrick III (B.R.) and great grandson, Gregory Shawn Rowan of the home; sons, Charles Edward Hamrick and wife, Georgia of Alvord, TX, Bobby Ray Hamrick, Jr. and wife, Rachel of Millerton, Gregory Dagenhart and wife, Dollie of Valliant; daughters, Cindy Gay and husband, Danny of Clanton, Alabama and Lisa Davidson and husband, John of Valliant; grandchildren: Janci Lynn, Charles, Mandy, Whitney, Haley, Casey, Terry Dewayne, Nicholas, Jennifer, Lacie, Kye, Jaxie, and Mia; great grandchildren, Tai, Slade, Reagen, Preslee, Mia and Tenley along with many other relatives and friends.
