Bobby Gene McGraw, 64, of Crossville, passed away March 5, 2008. A celebration of life was held from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home March 8, with Kenton Hofmeister officiating.

Mr. McGraw was born Nov. 4, 1943, in Dixon, KY, the son of Woodrow McGraw and Helen Francis (Burton) McGraw.

He was widely respected for his knowledge and integrity in the oil and gas business. He acquired his skills over 40 years, working first with Haliburton Company and then operating his own company servicing and drilling wells in Kentucky and Tennessee. He was also a patient and passionate fisherman. Friends appreciated his laughter and helpfulness. Children loved his attention and animals were drawn to his gentleness. He deeply loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Paige and Ronald Glenn Jones and Kadra and Johnny Hall, all of Harriman; son, Scott McGraw Blevins of Oneida; stepson, Joe Hodgin of Crossville; grandchildren, Peyton and Kaley Jones, Katie and Keaton Hall; companion, Jean Cheely of Crossville; sister-in-law, Jane Ann McGraw; niece, Jana Heierman; and nephew, Jarrod McGraw.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Lee McGraw; and sister, Shirley Ann McGraw.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of Cumberland County, 30 East Adams St., Crossville, TN 38555.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
