Bobby Eugene Radcliff

Alexander, NC, Bobby Eugene Radcliff, age 68, of 116 Cross Anchor Road, died on Monday, September 28, 2009 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of Margaret Martin Ratcliff and the late Reverend Vernon Ratcliff, who died in 1975. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Worth Ratcliff, who died in 1998. He retired from American Enka and was a member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church. He had a deep love of music and enjoyed playing the guitar. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margaret Bradshaw Radcliff; two sisters, Shelby Boyd and her husband, Clark, of Marshall and Judy Clark and her husband, Roger, of Alexander; three brothers, Ronnie Radcliff and his wife, Carolyn, of Leicester, Larry Dean Radcliff and his wife, Roma Lee, of Weaverville, and Steve Ratcliff and his wife, Marlene, of Old Fort; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie and Larry Radcliff, Steve and Terry Ratcliff, Roger Clark, and Bobby Buckner. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
