Bobby Slaton Jr Obituary
Bobby Slaton, 51, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on June 19, 2024, in Cedar Rapids.
To know Bobby was to love him. He truly had a heart of gold. His love for his children radiated. He was the life of the party, and everyone enjoyed his company. Bobby was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone.
Bobby was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. He leaves behind his three children: Bobbi Jo Kerres (Kyle Kerres), Bailey Slaton (Mason Hiler), and Brayden Slaton. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren: Matthew Kerres, Brinley Kerres, Mavyn Kerres, and Lennon Hiler.
He is also survived by his siblings: Kenny Slaton, Joann Sexton, Brian Slaton, and Doug Slaton. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bob Slaton Sr., and is survived by his mother, Betty Slaton.
Bobby spent many years working as an operator. One of his greatest career accomplishments was becoming a well-known operator for his father's company, Kenway Sewer & Excavating.
An avid outdoorsman, Bobby spent a lot of his time fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed racing at Hawkeye Downs Speedway.
Bobby was adamant about having a "big party" to celebrate his life. Details on Bobby's celebration of life will follow.
Our community has lost a beloved member whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Bobby had been a good friend for a lot of years .I enjoyed fishing@ hunting with Bobby or just b.sing and pounding down some beer ,he was pretty damn good at that also.going to miss you Bobby see you again on the other side. Condolences to the family love john steggall.

For such a small guy you sure left a huge imprint on my life. We had so many good times. If I was having a real bad day all it took was being around you for 2 minutes and we were laughing and having fun. I will miss you very much but We will see one another again.
