Sherrie, Sean and Shannon,
Things that come to mind when I think of Bo...Washing dishes at the RCI building after family get togethers; praying for those meals before we began to eat; juicy, yellow watermelon; teasing my mom about her orneriness (he had the best stories about her); and yelling at us kids when we were small and entirely too loud and rowdy.
Gary and I will celebrate our first anniversary on Sunday. I will never forget Bo placing his coat on a chair for me while I was having my picture made - all because I yelled "I'm not sitting on that chair because it will get my dress dirty."
I was blessed to call him uncle and friend.

Bolin had such a big heart and he really put his heart and soul into the benefits for the Western Ar Children's Foundation benefit coon hunts. Bolin was always there every year for fifteen years to help get it all together. His love of people and children will always be remembered. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with Sherrie and the kids. Pam Cox

Uncle Bo, like Uncle Odie, impacted my decision to become an English teacher.
I will remember him as a loving, unassuming gentle man who had the strength of his convictions to make a positive impression on everyone he met. Yes, definitely our loss is heaven's gain. I will miss you, Uncle.
Aunt Sherrie, Sean, and Shannon and family, you are all in my prayers.

I first met Mr. Stewart in the Fall of 1993. I was finishing up my student teaching and he needed to hire a teacher in the middle of the school year. He interviewed me and recommended me to be hired at Westside. I am still at Westside, thanks to Mr. Stewart. Whenever I have run into him since he left Westside, he has always taken time to ask how everything was going. He was always genuinely concerned about how I was doing and how my teaching career was going. He will be missed by all who have known him. Your family will be in my prayers during this time. When I came to Hackett to educate, a gentleman made it a point to come and visit my office. Bolin introduced himself and shared information that would prove to be invaluable in order for me to understand the children and people of Hackett. A friendship began from this first encounter, and I feel blessed to call Bolin Stewart my friend...but, I also feel robbed that I only had this friendship for 5 plus years. Please know that I am in prayer for your family and have asked God to send an Angel to assist with your healing process. Shakespeare said it best, "Cowards die many times before their death; the valiant never taste death but once." Take Bolin's valiant strength forward and use his strength for one another as you search for ways to heal from this tragic loss.

Dear Sherrie,Sean,& Shannon,
We are so sorry. Bolin touched so many lives and everyone has a story about Coach Stewart and how he played a part in their life. We remember him at School, Coaching and also his bus driving days from the time our children were in school right on to our grandchildren.

Mr. Stewart was a wonderful Christian person, friend, and principal. His Christian influence made WHS a better place. He always had a kind word and sincere concern for you--always willing to help you in any way. Even after leaving WHS he would return to
visit making sure he spoke to everyone that he knew. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time. Lean on the Lord and He will give you peace and comfort.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family... Knowing Bolin and the rest of the family all my life it is like losing a part of the family... I know he will be missed dearly... If there is anything I can do during this time of loss please don't hesitate to let me know... My heart goes out to you Shannon and Sean because losing a father will take time to understand and accept... and also to Sherry losing a part of your life of 41 years will not be easy but in time things will get better... God Bless you all!

In deciding whom to hire for principal of Westside High School, teachers were sent to interview former co-workers. One teacher shared her experience by noting that everyone was unwilling for Mr. Stewart to leave and one co-worker had tears in her eyes. We soon found out why they didn't want him to leave. In my own experience as secretary for Westside School I never worked for anyone more kind, caring, and supportative. It was very obvious that here was a special man who loved our God, his family, and his fellowman. We are the poorer for his passing.

Mr. Stewart was a great principal. He was a fair and loving adminstrator. He always had his Bible on his desk. I enjoyed working for him, and visiting with him at Westside / Hackett basketball games after he left. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, but I know he's in a better place and watching out for all of us. Debbie Johnson (Westside High School Music Teacher, Coal Hill)

I was very sad when I heard of Coach Stewart's passing. He was a great teacher, basketball coach and friend. He had such a great personality and a way of making you laugh, even when he was making us run 20 laps around the gym. He will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and I pray that God will comfort you.

I know sorry don't mean alot at time like this so i would just like to say that Coach Stewart will live forever in the lifes he touched, and I know there are many of us who were influnced and touched by this man who was a friend, teacher and advisor to many. If nothing else can ease this pain you are feeling at this time in your lifes just know that Coach is everywhere you look, he was such a huge part of the Hackett community, from the school to the gym to the ball fields and in each face of a past student you can be assured they were in someway touched by the presence of this man in their lifes. I for one know i will never forget Coach and have many memories of him that I will hold onto forever, May God Bless and be with each of you at this time.

There wasn't a time if my sons or myself were in Mr. Stewart's presence, that he didn't make his way to us to shake our hands or give us a personal, sincere hug. We will always remember him in that way, and I appreciate his friendship with my sons and myself while he was an administrator at Westside and the years after. My prayers go to his family as I know how truly missed he will be. But always remember "you" were his special words of joy he shared with us when we had our catch up times. He loved each of you so very much....and now he is safe, secure, and waiting to reunite with you at a later date. I do pray for your peace and strength to get through this hard time. God Bless you today and always.

Mr. Stewart had a bold impact on my teaching career at WHS as well as my personal life. Looking at the picture of our adorable firstborn grandchild, Bolin remarked, "She's as ugly as a mud fence." Judging my initial reaction , he started laughing. Oftentimes throughout the years, Bolin Stewart would remind me and whoever happened to be near of how he had shocked his high school English teacher.
My heart is heavy because of the death of Bolin, but I know he is sitting at the right hand of Jesus Christ at this moment helping to prepare a place for his loved ones and friends to be with him one day.
