Bonnie Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 9, 2025.
Bonnie Speck Davis, born January 30, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family and friends. She was the cherished wife of John Ray Davis Sr. for 62 wonderful years. Together, they built a life full of love, memories, and devotion, and their partnership was a shining example of true commitment.

Bonnie was the cherished mother of four children: John Ray Davis Jr. (wife Mia), Scott W. Davis (wife Angie), Mary Ellen Sherwood (husband Bill), and Joseph Roger Davis Sr. Her life was enriched by the joy of her nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.

As the oldest of five sisters, Bonnie is survived by her four beloved sisters: Debbie Speck Jones (Rick), Mary Ellen Latham (Marvin), Reggie Speck Collier (Jack), and Christine Speck. She was also the proud aunt to many nieces and nephews who will forever remember her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit.

A proud graduate of Southwest High School in Atlanta, Georgia, Bonnie was known for her compassionate heart and unwavering loyalty to her family. She was a pillar of strength and grace, always putting others first and offering unconditional love. Her family was the center of her world, and her enduring support, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Speck and Mary Speck, whose love and guidance shaped the incredible woman she became. She is now reunited with them in peace.

Though Bonnie's time on this earth was far too short, her impact will continue to resonate through the generations she leaves behind. Her memory will be cherished forever by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sisters, and the countless others whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Family Hospice at https://www.homewithfamily.com

Bonnie's love will never be forgotten, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
