Bonnie Hayes Obituary

Bonnie Faye Hayes (Ledoux), 33, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on July 12, 2024. Born October 23, 1990, in Sulphur, Louisiana. Bonnie attended Maplewood Middle School, Sulphur High School, and furthered her education at Sowela Technical School.

Bonnie attended Life Church during her youth. She maintained a strong spiritual foundation, often praying and requesting prayer for herself and her friends. She was passionate about helping others, especially through her involvement with the "Do No Harm" organization, where she distributed safe use kits, fentanyl testing kits, and Narcan sets to assist others dealing with addiction. In spite of her own struggles. Bonnie's kindness and caring nature were evident in her commitment to service and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Bonnie loved animals, listening to music, and expressing herself through blogging, journaling, and doodling. These hobbies provided her with great comfort and joy throughout her life.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Oliver Clyde Wright, Sawyer Luke Woodruff, and Leopold Barrett Guidry; her mother, Christa Faye Wright (Alexander); stepfather, William Wright; father, Dale Edwin Ledoux; stepmother, Julieanna Ledoux; siblings, Shelby Wright, Khara Ledoux, and Paul Ledoux. She is also remembered by her aunts, uncles, and cousins who were special to her, including Tracy Alexander, Diana Gwin, Vicky Holland, Bethany Nelson, Kelly Page, and Kinsey Ledoux. Lastly she will be sadly missed by her special fur baby Persephone .

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clyde and Bonnie Alexander (Robicheaux); paternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Ledoux (Fontenot); sister, Joy Cain (Ledoux); uncle and aunt, Bryan and Linda Alexander; and aunt and uncle, Mary Lynn and Roger Guidry; and uncle, Joeseph Ledoux.

Bonnie struggled with addiction for many years, fentanyl ultimately took her life. Please if you are struggling with addiction, don't go down without a fight. You have value, God loves you, he wants you to be healed, he desires only goodness for you. Please reach out, there are people and programs that can help you live. Here are just a few: Celebrate Recover, Trinity Baptist Church, Freedom Ministries, SWLA "Do No Harm".

A memorial service will be held at The Gathering Church at a later date. Contributions can be made to an animal rescue or animal shelter of your choice, honoring Bonnie's love for animals.

Arrangements are being handled by Lakeside Funeral Home, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Bonnie's life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew her as a beacon of kindness and generosity.

I will always remember her outlook on life. And her laugh. When she laughed, it made everyone else laugh too. RIP Bonnie. You will be missed.

Bonnie was a dear friend of mine. She always made me smile. She was basically like my girlfriend. We use to dress up cute and go out to eat dinner together. Just us two. It all started when i became her dog walker. We lived together. Two separate times. We shared so many laughs and so many cries. She encouraged me to get into school about a year ago and now I'm in my 3rd quarter at CTU. I love you bonnie. I miss you dearly. I'm finding this all out a week later and my heart is hurting severely. I know you haven't left my side. But the thought of you being gone has my heart into pieces. Rip Bontron. Yours truly , Johanna,
