Bonnie Muma Parsons

PARSONS Bonnie Muma Parsons, age 67, passed away February 24, 2011 after a brief illness. She grew up in Winter Haven, FL, and moved to New Orleans, LA when she married Bob Parsons in 1967. Bob died in 1976, but Bonnie remained in New Orleans and spent almost 20 years with her friend Sal Fazio before she moved to Santa Clara, NM in 2002 to be near her aging mother. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Parsons Wertz; two stepdaughters: Jan Parsons Torrey and Becky Parsons Gottsegen; three grandchildren: Gram Wertz, Sara Wertz Novotny and Greg Dicharry; five siblings: Leslie M. Muma (Pam), Merrie Thompson (Glenn), Sallie Van Curen, Cherie Salmon (Dutch), Elsie Thompson (Steve), and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Hope Mausoleum, 4841 Canal Street, New Orleans, where her ashes will be interred with those of her late husband, Bob.
