Claudine Albey, age 75, of Malvern passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County. She was born July 9, 1940, in Christiansburg, Virginia, the daughter of Harmon and Helen Shepherd Linkous. In her younger years, Claudine loved the demolition derby. She loved to traveling with her family, finding t-berries in the Appalachian and Smoky Mountains and loved going to the Grand Canyon. Claudine was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. Other than parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Eva Shaver.
Sweet memories of our dear loved one who has gone home to be with Jesus, our Lord and Savior. She was at peace with God and was ready to go.
Claudine left behind her loving husband of 25 ½ years, James Ronald Albey; five children, Patricia Carter of Hiltons, Virginia, Johnny Billings, Richard Billings, Kenny Billings all of St. Petersburg, Florida and Donald Billings of Bristol, Tennessee; stepson, Brian Albey of Bismarck; twenty grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and step-grandson, Ashton Albey. Claudine has three surviving sisters, Helen Lane of Johnson City, Tennessee, Christiana Denmyer of Baltimore, Maryland and Bobbie Powers of Baltimore, Maryland; three half-sisters; Linda Bassett, Ann Linkous and Becky Clinton. She is also survived by mother-in-law and dear friend, Marie Albey Diffee of Malvern, brother-in-law, Dr. Mark Albey; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Jeffries and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal visitation.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 20 at 1:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Bryan Diffee officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Albey, Ashton Albey, Dr. Mark Albey, Lane Ross, Justin Cluck and Brian Vavar.
