Funeral Services for Mr. Bradford Michael Walker, 58, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Tom Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.
Brad was born in Monroe, LA on February 14, 1955 and passed away peacefully on May 18, 2013 after a short illness, surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church. Having been in the automobile business for many years, he had made many friendships and was well known for his fun loving spirit. Brad was most recently employed as a Pipeline Inspector. He is preceded in death by his father, William H. Walker, Jr.; grandparents, Pete and Eunice Griggs and Willie and Nattie Walker; father-in-Law, Grady Rice and granddaughter, Savannah Reese.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife of 29 years, Cheryl Walker; mother, Patsy Walker Golson and husband, Tommy; brother, Bill H. Walker and wife, Paula; the love of his life, his daughter, Carley V. Wood; son, Brad Wood and his children, Brooke and Piper; daughter, Jessica Reese and husband, Trey and children, Cooper and Logan; mother-in-law, Barbara Amason; step- sister, Valerie Calhoun; step-brothers, Wayne Golson, David Golson, and Troy Golson; numerous aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Heath Moncrief, Kyle Moncrief, Buddy Bennett, Trey Reese, Grady Rice, Troy Golson, Wayne Golson, and David Golson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Boyd, John Brodnax, Clint Hixson, Jack Beasley, Kevin Perkins, Ken Amason, Rock Frost and Keith Brister.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until Service Time on Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made in Brad's honor to the Rock Out Cancer Fund at Chase Bank on N. 7th Street West Monroe, LA.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Compassus, especially, Travis Sibley and Nikki Cowan. Also to Wayne Rutledge and staff, Dr. Sanjay Joseph and Dr. William Beebe for the care they all gave to Brad.
