Bradley Gordon Carlson

Born on August 3rd, 1936 in Jamestown, NY, Bradley G. Carlson passed away on October 7th, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon & Lucile Carlson, two sisters and a son, James. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice Brolin Carlson; two children, Thomas (Patty) Carlson of Horseheads, NY and Lisa (John) Blake of Ashland, MA; grandchildren, Jeff (Shelia) Carlson, Mark (Sarah) Carlson, Eric Carlson, Lauren Blake, Emily Blake; four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Brad graduated from Jamestown High School in 1954 and Purdue University in 1958 with a degree in mechanical engineering and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Brad was President and owner of Gierston Tool Co., Inc. in Elmira, NY. He also sat on many boards in Elmira over the 40 years living there before moving to Sarasota, FL where he was active at the Stoneybrook Golf & Country Club and Church of the Palms. Brad was an avid golfer, loved to play cards, and in his earlier years, skiing, tennis and squash.
There will be a service celebrating Brad's life on October 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of the Palms, located at 3224 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota, Florida.
