I work with Debra Valentine Gray at JA in Los Angeles. She has kept all of here at JA aware and updated regularly on Brandi's condition. We feel like we knew her, though we never met her. We feel love for the family though we've never met them. We feel inspiration from her spirit though we were not there to witness. God does indeed work in mysterious ways. Glod Bless.

Gladys and family.
I am so sorry for your lost, You will be in my prayers.

I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine, He said ...
For you to love the while he lives ... and mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two and three,
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you. And shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from Earth return.
But there are lessons, taught down there, I want this child to learn.

I've looked the wide world over in search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now ... will you give him all your love ... nor think the labor in vain?
Nor ... hate me when I come to call ... to take him back again?
I fancied that I heard you say ...
“Dear Lord, it will be done!
“For all the joy Your Child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
“We'll shelter him with tenderness. We'll love him while we may,
“And for the happiness we've known ... forever grateful stay.
“But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes ... and try to understand.” *

God Bless you.

Gladys, Donal and Jamal. Brandi was a very special little girl and one of a kind. I can honestly say I've never met anyone quite like her and she will be missed. Someone her age to be so thoughtful and caring of others needs above her own and never complaining was just a few of many things that made her so special. I will miss seeing her and talking to her. I love you all!

To Brandi's Family-
I am so sorry for your loss! I knew Brandi from dance class and PCA. We were good friends. I heard from a friend that she had passed, and I didn't want to believe it was true! I had to find it out myself. Brandi was such a good person, she cared about everybody. Brandi was a terrific friend and always knew what to say if you were feeling upset. I can't believe she is gone! It's just not fair!!! I lived in Pittsburgh for most of my life, and we just moved to Florida 2 years ago. I wished I could of been up there to see Brandi one last time, to tell her that she was one of my best friends. God Bless you all!!! I hope you all can get through this. My family and I send our condolences. Brandi will be in our prayers!

Dearest Valentine Family,
A lovely angel arrived at Brandi Bed and gave her wings to Fly, Brandi spoke so softly and sweetly that you listen to her with all your heart. I will always remember she offered me a cookie she made in home ecom. As I ate the cookie she explained how she made it not knowing I love to bake. We eat, talked and laughed about the cookies. Brani stated she would make more. Then helping her to design that beauiful house was a wonderful craft for me. Our friendship grew from that day on. Keep your hearts in the Faith of God, Keep your love as strong as Brandi heart, Keep your hope alive due to the fact lifes goes on. Share her memory with all that you love. Peace and understanding at this time.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Gladys and Family,

My Master has called me and my task on earth is done; He has come to tell me that my last great Victory's won.

Just in case your load gets heavy when I close my eyes to rest; Just remember Jesus loves you and He'll help you stand the test; Just in case you're sadly wondering why I left you all; I was somewhat tired and weary and I longed for Heaven, My Home.

Tell my friends that I was ready, Angels stood around my bed; They were there to bring me comfort and relayed each prayer I said.

Just in case your eyes are tear-filled and your heart-strings nearly break; Just hold on to each promise-hold on for Jusus' sake.

He has promised to be near you, to calm the grief with-in your heart.

Do not weep for me my loved ones, for I'm still here with you.

Gladys, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

January 24, 2008

To everyone Brandi knew...I'm sure she lived by these words:

I’ll take your love with me
Everything’s okay, it’s alright
And when you go to sleep
See me on my way
I’m alright

Oh, please remember these
Words I say to you
It’s a far better place
I’m going to

I’ll take your smile with me
Everything’s okay, it’s alright
And when you think of me
See me laugh and play
I’m alright

Oh, please remember these
Words I say to you
It’s a far better place
I’m going to

I’ll take your love with me
Everything’s okay, it’s alright
Alright

Gladys and Family,

Don't Cry ~

Don't cry any more tears for me.
I am at peace. I'm finally free.
Like the eagle in the sky,
I am soaring. So, please don't cry.

I know you love me. I love you, too.
But, my time was over;
was finally through.

I have ascended
to a better place,
which is not confined
by time or space.

To those that loved me,
I did not fall.
I only succumbed
to a higher call.

Do not mourn me.
I am with you still.
I'll be with you always,
from dawn ------until.

You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
