Brandon was one of my graduate students during his Cabinet Making class of 2010/Campbell's Bay. I am deeply hurt by his passing. Brandon was a fun "dude"... talked a lot in class... but was always respectful, kind and polite about it! As he was loved, he will be missed by us all. The media spotlight should have been shared on both young men that we lost. RIP Brandon.

It will be impossible to tell you who Brandon Wilson Crawford is in a short amount of time, what I can tell you is he is the eldest of Jim and Darleen Crawford and big brother to Reid and Vickie.
I will try to share some tid bits of what I have read and heard over the last few days of who Brandon was.
First I want to say to you Jim, Darleen, Reid and Vickie you have many friends and family, know you are in our thoughts and prayers in your time of grief.
Cherish Brandon’s memories, his memories will bring you comfort and he will forever be alive through you.
Memories such as:
How he use to follow you around Jim on the farm, mimicking every move you made, a little farmer in the making.
Or Duct taping a friend to the clothes line pole
Making a high school “go-cart”
4H member
However the two roles Brandon filled and which will bring you the most memories to you Jim and Darlene was being your son and a big brother to you Vickie and Reid.
Other things I learned about Brandon over the last few days was he was well liked and people enjoyed being around him, one of the first things you would have noticed about Brandon was his smile and very shortly after that you’d realize he had a big heart, Brandon was kind, helpful and considered,. He is considered a “great friend” and will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
It is unknown and we will never understand why Brandon was taken from us but according to the scriptures his task here on earth was completed and he was called home to be with the Lord.
While here, although to short, He touched many lives and will live on in our hearts and minds:

Memorial Service April 22, 2011 - Remembering Brandon
Last Saturday, two young men left this earth and journeyed to the Promised Land.
First God reached out his hand to Brandon and said it was time and gently guided him along.
Then he put his arms around Anthony McColl and said it was time for him too.
Both boys, at the start of their lives with so many hopes and dreams.
Both with wonderful families that loved them so much.
Who never planned to let them go at this time, but the Lord had other plans.
In the coming days and years we will struggle to understand, and question life, but it is our responsibility to continue along our earthly path.
We don’t get to decide when we are born nor when the end will come.
These two young men have left us with incredible memories and it is our job to live our lives so that they can be proud of us.
We must continue to breathe, love and be loved.
Our condolences go out to the McColl Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Brandon was full of love and brought joy to everyone.
Friends and family were important to him. He was always polite and willing to help.
If you needed him, he would be there.
Everyone has a happy memory of Brandon. Hold them dear.
I will miss the pleasure he took standing next to me and reminding me of his height.
Oh how he loved to visit with his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
He always greeted us with a hug, kiss and I love you.
To our friends, the shock is almost too much but we have found comfort with your thoughts and prayers. You have taken wonderful care of us.

What a guy! What a smile! What a heart! He loved and lived life, who knew he`d have such short time, but what memories he`s made for so many...
I so remember when I was reporting for the Pontiac Journal, Brandon always seemed to be popping up in front of my camera lens, the cutest and friendliest little `dude` I had ever met who so loved to have his picture taken...especially on antique tractors...and then he`d be so excited when he saw his picture in the paper.I didn`t know you then Darlene, I knew Jim and it was my pleasure over time to get to know the whole family and call you all friends.
I wish I could take away the pain, I do, but please know you have the strength and support of so many who love you and care to lean on.
