ROBY, IL – Brandon Lee Melton, 32, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at his girlfriend's home.
He was born May 10, 1981, to Donald and Deborah (Word) Melton.
Brandon was a tattoo artist and loved to draw. He enjoyed music and was an avid concert goer. He was very loving and big-hearted and was the favorite uncle to all of the nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Debbie Melton; brother, Jake Melton; grandmother, Ruth Ann Melton; two sisters-in-law; two nieces; six nephews; one aunt; one uncle; several cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Nick Melton, in June; grandparents, William and Kim Word; uncle, Marty Word; and grandfather, Preston Melton.
Celebration of Life Service: 2 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the American Legion Post 32 at 1120 Sangamon Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Brandon Melton, c/o Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, to assist with funeral expenses.

Brandon will be greatly missed he was a great friend had a lot of fun times lots of laughs that will never be forgot I remember the. First day he came to school with a chilly bowel hair cut and a George Town coat and when he graduated with with tattoos and. A shaved poney tail Brandon's looks might of. Changed. But the nice guy he was never.Did people who never. Got the. Chance to meet him. Have truley missed out he was. A awesome person and we had lots of good times abagail his precious dog the little red car the bush he was thrown in Ramon noodles,daisy, qauter man the oil pump whiskey boys ,coffee talk and just hanging out Brandon R.I.P and my thoughts.
