I saw a post for prayer for Brandon Vinson in 2012. It caught my eye, because one of my best friends had 2 daughters who had CF. The younger one endured many surgeries and lived to 35yrs. The older one just had her second lung transplant 2yrs. ago and is doing the best she has ever done. She is now 43yrs. old, travelling with her husband for his work, no oxygen needed, and so very thankful for all the prayers that went up for her. I re-posted the prayer request on my page, and spread word for prayer for Brandon. My daily memory today, on facebook, was for prayer for Brandon. I really hoped that Brandon was progressing well, so I looked him up on Google. My heartfelt sympathy to you all in the loss of your son. I will continue to pray for you and your family. May your memories help you as deal with your broken hearts. I lost my husband of 55yrs. last year, and am still trying to move forward. However, losing a spouse is very different form losing a child, as you did, and 4 of my friends have. My 2yr. old great grandaughter will be having surgery for a brain tumor in January, so I can totally understand your request for prayer for Brandon during his battle with CF. The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 99 W. Main St, Greenwood, IN 46142 and on the third Thursday at the Faith Apostolic Church, 1212 E. 116th St., Carmel, IN 46032.
If and when you are ready to do so, please join us for either, or both, meetings.
